Abottswell to Fritham

Walk Type: A walk with great views with moderate gradients on well gravelled path throughout. Dog Friendly: YES

Start: Millenium monument in Abbotswell carpark, SP6 2JD.

Finish: Fritham car park, SO43 7HJ.

Distance: 8.4 Miles round trip    Duration: 90 minutes each way

Food: The Royal Oak pub is situated about 100m from Fritham car park. Its serves food, has toilets & allows dogs inside.

Burley Disused Railway Walk to Holmsley Tea Rooms

Walk Type: A walk is mostly graveled but gets a little waterlogged along the route, along with water courses. The walk is through the valley so the scenery is of the walk and hillsides. Dog Friendly: YES

Start: Burbush Car Park, Pound Lane, Burley BH24 4EF.  

Finish: Burbush Car Park, Pound Lane, Burley BH24 4EF

Distance: 4.6 Miles round trip    Duration: 90 minutes

Food: There are several pubs and tea rooms in Burley to get hot and cold food, drinks and there are toilets. There is the Tea Room in Holmsley to also take a snack break.

Howen Bottom & Eyeworth Pond

Walk Type: A walk with a fairly good gravelled path for the entire route, which is almost mud free. Off the path there is standing water and streams but the walk gives good views of the pond. Dog Friendly: YES

Start: Roger Penny Way, SP6 2NT.  

Finish: Eyeworth Pond, SO43 7HJ.

Distance: 3.2 Miles round trip    Duration: 55 minutes

Food: There is no pub on the walking route however The Royal Oak pub is situated close by, SO43-7HJ. Its serves food, has toilets & allows dogs inside.

Busketts Lawn

Walk Type: Multiple walks in this area with lawns and rivers and ancient woodland and gravel tracks, a very popular dog walking area. Dog Friendly: YES

Start: Busketts Lawn, SO40 7GL.  

Finish: Busketts Lawn, SO40 7GL.  

Distance: Various    Duration: Various

Food: There is The Compass Inn, 2.9 miles away, SO40 2HE, where you can get food and drink.
